Depending on which one you choose, a tactical wallet can help you in a variety of situations, from opening a beer bottle at the bar to being a handy tool during a camping trip. Life can be unpredictable, so it can’t hurt to be prepared for whatever comes your way with a wallet that does it all.

We had a chance to check out 10 of the best tactical wallets available and gave each one a thorough review to see how useful each one really was.

Best Tactical Wallet List

1-Dango Tactical EDC Wallet

The most impressive part of  Dango Tactical EDC Wallet is its capacity. You can hold up to 12 business cards or credit cards in this wallet, and it is made from genuine top-grain leather that is secured to the wallet frame with mil-spec bolts.

The wallet is also RFID blocking, meaning your credit card information will be secure from hackers or those trying to use RFID technology to steal it. Credit card scanners are becoming increasingly more common nowadays, making the addition of RFID chips even more important.

The wallet also comes with a special Dango Multi-Tool made of CNC-machined high carbon stainless steel. It has over ten functions, including a saw, knife, paracord tensioner, 10/15mm hex, a smartphone stand, nail pryer and a ruler. If you find that it takes up too much space, you can easily remove it, but it’s recommended that you leave it in the wallet due to its wide-variety of uses.

Dango Tactical EDC Wallet is perfect for either the outdoorsman or the average morning commuter. The leather design is stylish enough for just about any setting, and the multi-tool will be essential for camping trips or fishing expeditions.

2-Trayvax Original Wallet

We confess that this Traywax is not the most stylish wallet on our list, but what it lacks in design, it makes up for in function. It doesn’t resemble a traditional wallet and has an aluminum and cold-rolled exterior with a sturdy, elastic strap that keeps your items safe. It can hold a whopping 14 credit cards, and 5 bills, keeping them safe between stainless steel and aluminum panels.

It is an RFID blocking wallet but does not come with a multi-tool like many of the others on our list. But, there is a bottle opener built into the metal chassis for a little-added efficiency. We would have liked to see a few more options for how the wallet could be used as a tool, but this didn’t seem to be the goal for Trayvax. This wallet is mostly designed to provide a reliable option for storing credit cards and cash.

While the overall design was ergonomic and very unique, Trayvax wallet doesn’t have the appearance of a traditional wallet. It also left a lot of items exposed on the corners, which has us worried about things falling out. However, overall, it was still a well-made, robust way of keeping your items safe.

3-Ranger Minimalist Wallet

This is another excellent addition and is at the cutting-edge when it comes to tactical wallets. It was very compact and is actually one of the smallest on the market. It fits 8 credit cards and cash, and while it didn’t fit as much as some of the other wallets on our list, we still found that it was convenient and easy to carry.

You’ll also find 12 tools built right into the wallet. You’ll get a bottle opener, ¼ tool driver, SAE wrenches, Metric wrenches and a flathead screwdriver. One thing about the included tools that we liked was that they were actually built into the design, rather than attached via a multi-tool. This made the wallet much more utilitarian, compact and versatile.

Ranger Minimalist Wallet is also extremely durable and is RFID blocking. It’s made of steel and is coated in something called Cerakote Ceramic Gun Coating. This helps prevent corrosion and makes it a perfect wallet for just about any condition. Our only concern with this wallet was that it was almost a little too small. Due to its smaller size, it felt like it might be easy to misplace, but overall, it was still a quality wallet that would fit a variety of needs.

4-Gerber GDC Money Clip

If you’re looking for something a little more basic, check out Gerber GDC Money Clip. It’s an extremely stripped down way to carry your cash and credit cards. It can hold 5 credit cards at a time, along with your cash and is recommended for military, hunting or survival situations.

It isn’t large enough to contain a multi-tool, but it does come with a 1.75” blade that can be hidden in the frame of the wallet when not in use. It has an engraveable surface, a serrated thumb rest for a convenient grip, and has a titanium coated chassis.

It’s worth noting that this wallet is not RFID blocking, and is primarily made for use in the outdoors. It may not be the best choice for those that spend time in urban areas where there are large crowds. It’s a bare-bones kind of wallet and is made primarily to fit the needs of those who need something basic but useful in situations where survival or utility is key.

5-GRMYspot Tactical Carbon Fiber Aluminum Wallet

GRYMSpot Tactical Carbon Fiber Aluminum Wallet is a heavy-duty wallet in a small, convenient design. It holds up to 10 credit cards as well as cash and is made of military grade aluminum and carbon fiber. The entire wallet is held together with stainless steel screws and an elastic band for added security. There is also a separate compartment for cash that resembles more of a money clip, but it was still secure and reliable.

GRYMSpot Wallet is also RFID blocking and NFC blocking. It can block frequencies of 13.56MHz so your cards won’t be scanned without you knowing. Overall the design was sleek, compact and appeared to be perfect for security guards, military personnel or just about anyone who wants to be sure their credit cards and cash stays safe.

One thing worth noting is that the spring that holds the money clip in place should not be excessively bent. If you pull it back too much to slide in your cash, it can break. It wasn’t a huge flaw in the design but is worth considering if you’re checking out this wallet.

6-LOOKISS Aluminum Slim Wallet

LOOKISS Aluminum Slim Wallet is more of a seamless blend of a traditional-looking wallet and a tactical item that is perfect for someone looking for an understated, yet functional design. It holds up to 12 wallets at a time, but is still so thin you won’t even know you have it in your pocket.

The inside has anti-slip silicone to prevent your money and your credit cards from sliding around, and the durable material is guaranteed not to lose elasticity due to long-term use. The wallet is made of aviation-quality aluminum and 304 stainless steel and is also RFID blocking.

It is capable of protecting credit and debit cards from RFID signals. However, it’s worth noting that the wallet cannot block RFID signals from cards that use a 125KHz frequency. This applies to electronic ID badges as well as hotel keycards. It can successfully block signals that run on 13.56MHz.

It’s about half the size of a smartphone and has an understated discreet look to it that won’t attract thieves or draw attention, making it perfect for those that find themselves in crowded areas like cities.

7-Leixstar Metal Slim Carbon Fiber Money Clip

Another great choice for a tactical wallet is the LEIXSTAR Metal Slim Carbon Fiber Money Clip Wallet. As the name implies, it has a carbon fiber construction and can hold between 3 and 10 credit cards at a time. Additionally, you’ll be able to keep between 4 and 8 bills in the money clip even while the cardholder is full.

It’s made of aviation-grade aluminum and 304 stainless steel just like some others on our list and has a robust, sturdy feel to it. It is RFID blocking, and has an ergonomic “y-shaped” mouth to insert your credit cards, as well as “c-shaped” mouth that fits your thumb to pull the cards out.

The entire wallet is held together by an elastic strap that can secure your belongings. Overall we felt that when the wallet was filled, it was still very durable. It didn’t feel flimsy or like it would let anything fall out even in times of physical activity. However, it doesn’t come with a multi-tool, so if you’re looking for something with a little bit more functionality, the LEIXSTAR Metal Slim Carbon Fiber may not be the best choice.

8-Tripntech Slim Wallet

TRIPNTECH is also a good choice for those who are looking for a robust construction but may not be concerned with a ton of functionality. It can hold up to 12 cards comfortably and is comprised of carbon fiber and 304 stainless steel. It keeps cash safe via a money clip that has a stylish logo on it but isn’t overly eye-catching.

It is also RFID blocking, and actually comes with a number of useful accessories. Included with the wallet you’ll get a microfiber cleaning cloth, a screwdriver as well as two replacement screws in case some of the built-in screws get lost.

There is no multi-tool included, but there is a convenient ergonomic “c-shape” slot for removing and sliding in credit cards, making the wallet very user-friendly. It could easily be used by the busy professional or the hunter looking for a way to keep cash and credit cards safe in the outdoors.

9-MOSIYEFF RFID Blocking Slim Wallet

MOSIYEFF RFID Blocking Slim Wallet made out the list because of its unique design and low price. As the name implies, it is RFID blocking, and is also made of aviation aluminum. Both sides are also covered in PU leather to give the wallet some added style, while also adding an extra layer of protection to your cash and credit cards.

Another unique quality of the MOSIYEFF Wallet is the built-in button on the bottom. You can pop out your cards automatically with this function while still easily inserting your cards. The wallet can also hold up to 8 cards at a time and has the capacity to hold 3 to 6 folded bills.

Not only is it a strong wallet that will keep your belongings safe, but it is also stylish enough to impress your friends and family. Not only that, but it came at a significantly lower price than the rest on our list while having many of the same functions.

10- Holstex Tactical Wallet

We found this wallet to be incredibly sturdy, stylish and very handy. It has a hidden compartment and a stainless steel all-purpose tool that can be used in a variety of settings. There is also a money-clip spring to keep the multi-tool in place.

The wallet is made from carbon fiber Holstex and is held together with titanium screws for extra durability. The wallet holds a maximum of five cards, but you can also purchase accessories like extension kits that enable you to hold between 8 and 10 cards at a time.

The MultiWallet Holstex Tactical Wallet is ideal for those looking for something that is a little more discreet than a regular wallet that is also lightweight. Some may find that the tool adds extra bulk to the wallet, but it is removable, so you don’t have to keep it in if you’d rather just use the MultiWallet to carry your personal items. Despite being made from carbon fiber, it’s still flexible and has the distinct feel of a traditional leather wallet.

Final Thoughts

While all of these wallets are unique and useful in their own way, you’ll ultimately have to decide which one suits your individual needs. You may be looking for something that can not only keep your credit cards and cash safe but can also perform a variety of other multi-purpose functions. Style may also be a factor in your choice. Regardless, each of these wallets is high-quality, reliable and will keep your belongings protected in a variety of settings.
